Angela Bendorf Jamison, President

Angela founded Communicopia Marketing Services, Inc., in 1998 after 13 years of professional experience as a journalist, editor, advertising/PR agency executive and corporate communications manager.

After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in agricultural journalism, she held positions with prominent organizations, including Bader Rutter & Associates, Valentine Radford Advertising and BASF Agricultural Products.

She founded Communicopia in Raleigh, N.C., managing the agency’s growth and evolution into the full-service marketing and public relations firm it is today.

Involvement in the community is important to Angela. Since 2002, she has served as a member of the board of directors of SAFEchild, a child abuse prevention agency in Raleigh. She’s held positions as secretary and chairwoman of the special events/marketing and long-range planning committees for SAFEchild.

She is also very involved in the Raleigh Professional Women’s Forum, serving in various board capacities since 2001 and most recently chairwoman of the Pages to Podium community event which featured forensic anthropologist and author Kathy Reichs.

In 2004-05, Angela was president of the Carolinas/Virginia chapter of the National Agri Marketing Association, an organization for marketing professionals in agri-business/ After her term, the national office recognized her dedication and service by giving her the Work Horse of the Year Award.

Angela and her husband, Warner, have one young daughter named Camryn. Angela enjoys family outings to the beach as well as gardening, decorating and cooking at home in Wake Forest, N.C.

Jon Weiner, Public Relations Writer

Jon has been working with Communicopia in various capacities since coming on board as an intern in the summer of 2004. After graduating in 2006 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism, he joined the agency full-time.

In August 2007, he began work on his graduate degree. Currently as a PR writer, he is responsible for the content and production of materials and projects associated with the agency’s clients.

With an educational background in public relations and political science, Jon’s talents as a writer make him a perfect fit for the Communicopia team. For the past three years, he has played an invaluable role in producing written, electronic and creative material for clients across a wide range of industries.

When not working or studying as a part-time student, Jon enjoys hunting, fishing, anything having to do with coaching, playing or even thinking about baseball, and spending time with his friends and family.
